I shot this at dusk this summer using an M8 and Noctilux. I like the image because the light on the hooded figure makes her stand out from the landscape, whilst the colours make her seem part of it: The hidden face, and the car coming towards the viewer create a slightly mysterious story, which adds to the atmosphere of this picture.
The Noctilux is a lens which does polarise opinion: Some hate it, some, like me, consider it quite unique – providing real atmosphere in very low light.
Why I use a Leica:
I use Leicas (and have for many years) for several reasons: The lenses are outstanding; fast, robust, optically excellent, and highly portable. The Leica build-quality makes the M a pleasure to use, and its design is so beautifully utilitarian that it is remarkably easy to learn.
But perhaps most of all, I think a Leica M has a very special quality, which is highly unusual for a manufactured object: Charm. And as such, they interest rather than intimidate those around them. I have owned one for 15 years, and yet every time I pick it up, I still enjoy how it feels, looks and performs.

This is a little different from what I usually think of as typical Leica pictures, which is street photojournalism and b&w portraits. But it works! Great green and blue tones and quite an eerie feel to it. Could be a scene from a horror movie :)
I like it. I can’t decide if the girl is afraid or just freezing. The emerging darkness suggests that she is afraid. Maybe the car behind her is a threat? I love pictures where you have to think and let your imagination work. Good job.
