QuoteI work in black and white and have always been very interested in shadows and textures. I often take images of cobblestones, etc. This was in Utrecht, where I was attending a conference and had some free time to wander round. Bikes were everywhere. I like the cartoon-like way in which the figure is distorted.

Why I use a Leica:
I’m an amateur black and white photographer and use film and a Leica rangefinder – first an M6 TTL, and now an MP. I need a tough, compact, reliable camera for climbing and travel – plastic and electronics are too fragile. I tend to work at the wider end of the lens spectrum, and I want the best image quality possible from 35mm. Leica M is ideal. Plus the MP is just exquisite to hold and work with.

This made me laugh! Very creative. I love how the wheels are touching the bottom of the frame. Great work :)
