This is a recent favorite, taken with my M8, Summilux ASPH 35mm f/1.4, perfect for grey, rainy days when the bus is good alternative to walking the city streets. I often find myself shooting through plastic or glass, or reflected back on glass. Maybe it has something to do with adding layers to the glass the camera shoots through.
Why I use a Leica:
Because it’s the only camera I ever wanted. In the late 60s I worked in public relations at a medical center. My desk drawer held the “office camera” – a Leica (M3 or M4). I started off shooting for the newsletter, then lab dedications, and then things like open heart surgery for the annual report.
It would be decades before I’d discover the camera was famous, but I knew how much I loved using it – and got permission to take it home weekends. When I left the medical center in 1970, I had to leave the Leica and had little interest in shooting with my instamatic after that. Buying a Leica wasn’t an option.
With the birth of my granddaughter in 2003, I got my first little digital camera. I knew then that I’d get a “good” digital camera only when Leica made one. Three years later, in November 2006, I had my M8 in my hands. It’s been everything I hoped for, and expected.

Great candid, Susan. Very peaceful.
Nice and unusual angle. Love the water drops on the window.
A beautiful example of your work.
i love the colors and general composition.
Hi Susan
Excellent shot with lovely tones, colours and composition. The picture is in the mind but a good camera with a good lens helps and this is where Laica comes in. Thank you for sharing it with us. I love it.
Kind regads
