This photo is taken with a Leica M9 and the Noctilux 50mm f0.95 . This Noctilux is magic, it’s very silky and smooth. I have used the Noctilux f0.95 with my M8, but I feel it performs better with the M9, because the M9 has a full-frame 35mm CCD sensor which is the same size as 135 film. I own every generation of Noctilux.
Why I use a Leica:
My father was using Leica in 70s. My first meeting with a Leica was his M5 in 1974. Since then I have been using M5, M6, M7, MP, MP3 LHSA, M3, M2 and M4 about for 35 years. I got my first digital Leica, the M8 in December 2006, before getting the M9 in September 2009. Leica is the most useful rangefinder camera in the world. I appreciate the quality, and Leica makes it a pleasure to take photographs.

This has got to be the best Leica combo money can buy (except for the S2, I would imagine). Incredible bokeh and razor thin depth of field. I wish I could win the lottery! :)
May I know why the image improves on a bigger sensor camera using the noctilux? how the image is better when using a full frame sensor, besides the cropping factor? is it something i’m missing?
Woody , is that you ? :-p
