QuoteI always enjoyed nature, water, Black & White photography, acts of man on nature. When I came across this location, I was astounded by the scale of man’s accomplishment of controlling acts of nature and harnessing this power by producing a drain hole to generate power and serving the human communities in the North Bay Area, and possibly beyond.

Why I use a Leica:
I have always shot with Leicas, Rolleicords, Hasselblads, Rolleis, and Olympus cameras. However, easily 80% of my photography were shot with Leica lllG’s F’s, M3’s with Visoflex housing, M5’s, M4P’s M4’s and my favorite Leica, the M2 coupled with the 28mm Elmarit. This photo was shot with the M2, coupled with the 35mm Summicron, either Ilford HP5 or TXP 400 ISO. High speed film were my choice of films for most of my BW work. High speed films afforded slight increases of grain, depending on exposure however exhibiting the greatest scale and tonalities in the final print.
