QuoteI’m much more traveller than a photographer and I was looking for a light and good camera for a long time. Some months ago, I’ve found the world of Leica and I’m changing the way I took pictures. It is not so easy, but it is fun. This photo was taken one nice morning when my wife was taking a bath. I was just walking around and saw the scene – the window and the nice body in it. I’ve made some pictures just with Leica M8 in my hands, without any tripod or something like this.

Why I use a Leica:
I was always using the heavy great professional DSLRs with all the gear with me, travelling all the world. Now, I have a Leica M8 with two lenses and I’m happy – I can shoot everything I want. I like the Leica also because you have to think before you press the shutter release – and that’s the photography. I’m using Leica for a short time, but I think that Leica is not just a camera, its a lifestyle and I love it.

Filip Molcan lives in a small village in the National Park Bohemian Switzerland, Czech Republic. You’ll find more of his photos in his Flickr photostream.

There’s a strong sense of intrigue in this photo, fascinating yet simple. A quiet moment in time that speaks volumes, loud and clear.
    Congrats to an excellent photo.
