This image was shot in Downtown Los Angeles, in the year 2009 in occasion of an immigration protest. In some of my images like this one I look for people who show their weaknesses and strengths. The streets, public and private places are full with the richness of humanity, with the vulnerability of what makes them ache, with that special movement of their body that reveals their strong and fragile personality. It is up to the viewer to decide where fragility and strength are portrayed.

This image was shot with a 35mm f3.5 Summaron and a Leica M2.

Why I use a Leica:
Leica is a new world for me which I am glad I have discovered. It truly makes me a fly on the wall and in the best cases allows me to transfer those special fractions of time to film. Lenses like the Summaron are lenses with a special soul. Very flare prone but with a inimitable signature.
