The photo was taken in the cafe of a museum we were just playing around and laughing. It was a magical moment.
Taken with my 2 year old Leica MP and a Summicron 50mm f2 . Captured on Ilford XP2.
Why I use a Leica:
A few people think it’s strange that I still shoot film. I prefer film to digital. I don’t own a DSLR and don’t really want to. The Leica has all I want and a quality I love.

This is a lovely, casual shot. Familiar and engaging. Nice shot, David.
excellent candid capture david…
Excellent.
amazing portait, in every way.
Congratulations, David.
Beautiful shot.
Lighting, focus, depth of field and tones all beautifully controlled. A very nice portrait.
simple, elegant, personal, unpretentious. And a paragraph-long explanation is not necessary to have the viewer “get it”. And hey… with a coffee cup smack in the center, you can’t go wrong! You’re so lucky that you don’t Have to own DSLR’s. You’re blessed.
