QuoteI was taking a walk on New Year’s Day in the small village in Hungary, where I used to stay over the weekends. I always wanted to take a photograph of the train tracks there and when I passed them, the sun hit them so I could take this one here.

Taken with a Leica M8.2 with the Zeiss Biogon 2.8/28 lens.

Why I use a Leica:
A month ago I purchased a M8.2 – since then I am addicted to the simplicity of these cameras. After years of using DSLRs using this camera offers me a totally new approach to photography.

Wolfram Seidler lives in Vienna, Austria. Take a look at his website for more of his photos.

What is LeicaShots?

In the hands of such profiled photographers as Henri Cartier-Bresson and Annie Leibovitz, the Leica rangefinders produce incredible works of art.

But what about the happy amateurs and unknown professionals? LeicaShots aims to show some of the best pictures from the thousands of unknown Leica shooters worldwide. They get a chance to tell their stories behind the pictures, as well as why they choose a Leica as their trusted companion.
