I love the city at night and the “el” platform provides an intersection in people’s lives where they all anonymously congregate for a brief period. It also provides just enough light to get a hand-held shot. I liked the fact that this photo captured that moment, could be any moment, where everyone is waiting to move on to the next destination.
Shot with a Lumix LX 3 w/ Leica F2.0-F2.8 24-60 DC Vario-Sumicron lens.
Why I use a Leica:
I carry my lumix with me everyday, and I am always excited about the quality that I get from the Leica lens on this camera.
Leica delivers even in a compact package…

Excellent work! I’ve always enjoyed your flickr stream. And a Leica user too, huh? Great work, Jonathan, as always.
Nice perspective.
I like your style.
Thx all for the comments, I appreciate you taking the time to look and comment…
Jonathan, excellent effect you got. The moving train add dynamic to the picture. Nice tone too…
Nice sense of urgency with the movement of the train, and b+w works here – nice shooting, Jonathon.
